New Favorite Christmas Tradition...

Christmas brunch!

I'm almost done with the Christmas pictures, I promise. But I had to document this day so that I can remember this meal forever and ever and always, amen.

And also to convince my family to do it again next year.

Also, just for the record, these pictures of Wes and Jeff are just about the cutest thing I think I've ever seen. Total BFFs.

Presents! Presents! (and more presents!)

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

posted on: Tuesday, December 25, 2012

Merry Christmas, everyone! We have had a wonderful, exhausting, lovely past few days racing from family to family (to family to family...) and celebrating christmas to its FULLEST extent. I have taken as many pictures in the last couple days as my kids have gotten christmas gifts. Which is to say, too many to count. Seriously, I can't even look at my dining room table right now. The mountain of stuff I have to somehow make room for is enough to incite a panic attack. But let's not think about that right now.

Back to the point I was trying to make; there are so many pictures of the boys opening presents that I'm thinking tomorrow I'll do a "best of" collection with all my favorites of the year. For now I just wanted to share a few photos from Christmas eve as I get back in to my blogging groove. These photos are enough to melt even the grinchiest of hearts. Really, just try and not smile at these goofballs ;)

First of all, Wes asked if he could make snowman shaped cookies to leave out for Santa. And I was like...um, that's ADORABLE. So yes.

Then he made a snowman for every member of our little family and I died.

Except for that bottom one, that was was supposed to be an alien(?) and it was strictly for eating hot out of the oven.

Then we set them out for santa, which went well.

And of course we didn't forget the reindeer munchies for the.........reindeer

We topped the night off with a few christmas stories and a family sleepover in the big bed.

Josh and I did have to sneak back downstairs to set up a few things after we were sure the boys had visions of sugar plums solidly dancing in their heads. We're sneaky like that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there ain't nothing in this world as good as being a parent on Christmas eve. Here's hoping you all had as sweet a holiday as we did today. And with that, I'm off to bed for some well earned sleep and maybe even a foot rub if I'm lucky ;)

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
