makes and then remakes all the cupcakes for your son's birthday party after you drop the first tray

has painted more of your house than your husband has

feeds your pets and babysits your kid when you go on vacation - when she's not traveling with you that is (luckily she usually is)

watches christmas movies with you in September when everyone else thinks you're crazy

is always just a phone call away when you're bored and feel like getting mexican food and ice cream

feeds, dresses, plays with and tucks in your oldest son for 4 days while you're in the hospital

uses a weeks vacation to move in and help you out when you get home from the hospital with son #2

cleans your house and bakes you treats to welcome you home 

is the kindest, most humble, giving and selfless person you know

Fatty week 2011 (Abby has been baking non-stop since we got home from the hospital)

Peeing an appropriate amount of times per day

Eating feta and sushi (separately of course!)

An Easter to Remember

Here I am, sitting at home, my new baby boy sleeping peacefully by my side. I can hardly believe how lucky I am, how beautiful he is and how complete he makes me feel. He turns one week old at 2:32am tonight and it has been more than a whirlwind of a week. I want to tell you all about his crazy birth and how nothing happened the way I had planned and how nothing could have prepared me for the way things went down. The experience was so big, and it's so hard to put it all into words, but I'm working on it. In the mean time I want to share pictures of our first full day home together as a family of four and how it just so happened to be Easter.

(p.s. wes has taken to wearing "daddy shirts" to bed and I think it's just 

about the most adorable thing I have ever seen, don't you agree?!)
