Today is my birthday! (Although I feel like we've been celebrating it all week (lucky me!)) It was absolutely amazing and I want to tell you all about it. BUT, it's my birthday, and I'm tired and I think I'm just going to try to convince Josh to give me a back rub and then go to bed early, because I'm old now and it's my birthday for two more hours and I can do whatever I want on my birthday, those are the rules. But before I go, I would like to thank the people who made this day possible...First of all, my mom. Since I have had the pleasure of giving birth twice now (both times unmedicated, but who's keeping track?...) I've come to believe that your mom should get way more props on your birthday than you should. I mean what did I really do on the day I was born? Not much. She did all the work...so thanks mom, for letting me really put a wrench in your day on August 14th, 1983. Much appreciated. (Also, those chocolate cherry cupcakes were pretty great too).
And thank you to Josh for the fun day at Kalahari and the new dining room cabinet and the back rub you're about to give me that you don't even know about yet. And thank you to Adam for being out of town for work, thus postponing our trip Cedar Point which was supposed to be today, since today turned out to be ridiculously cold and rainy and it would have been awful! And thank you to Marisa for watching our boys all day so Josh and I could have some fun. And thank you to my dad and Patty for the shrimp risotto and Abby for the peach pie and lava cakes! And yes, you will be hearing all about all of this in great detail soon. But for now, THANK YOU to all my friends and family for allowing me such a wonderful day. I am reminded yet again, just how lucky I really really really am.
