Early Father's Day: Part II

posted on: Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Originally, I had planned to carefully pack away Josh's father's day presents, hidden stealthily amongst our luggage and take them with us to Michigan so he could open them on the actual day. Then I took the boys shopping Monday and Wes decided he really wanted to get dad two things for father's day: root beer and chocolate. As I envisioned melted chocolates and broken glass bottles of soda filling our suitcases it became painfully obvious that the gift giving was going to have to happen a little earlier than anticipated. So Monday night we had everything wrapped and ready to go when he walked in the door from work.

josh feigning surprise
i just love wes's face as he watched josh open
the card he picked out and signed all by himself!
(it was a stack of singing pancakes with googly eyes, fyi)
new kicks for running
then someone shouted profanities at us from his high chair until
he got his grubby little hands on some chocolate already!
thank you very much
then i tried to get a picture of the three of them
together and this is the best i got
because this is what you actually get when you try to get a one
year old and a three year old (and a thirty one year old) to hold
still and pose for the camera...

happy (early) father's day, josh
we sure do love you
xoxo
