I'm not much of a sports fan, but last night's Cav's game loss was still a huge bummer for all of us Northeast Ohioans, even those of us who only loosely follow what's going on with the hometown teams. Why? Because we love this place. And when you get that close to such a long anticipated championship it's hard not to get swept up in the excitement. Seeing Cleveland in the national spotlight makes our broken little hearts swell with pride, even when we lose. Which we do -- a lot.
Anyway, this place has a lot going for it. Case in point: Parade the Circle and the Cleveland Flea. Both of which we attended last weekend. We LOVE this parade. We try and make it up to see it every year and it just keeps getting better and better. The costumes, the music, the people and the sense of community in the crowd, it's something we look forward to every summer.
After the parade ended and it looked like the rain might hold out for just a little while longer we realized we had just enough time to dash over to the Cleveland Flea and catch the last hour of it before it closed for the day. There was so much to see that it definitely requires making a whole day of it. But it was still fun to pop in and get a feel for everything. The Flea is held once a month and we've already got July's date blocked off on our calendar with plans to head back up. Hopefully, next time we'll come home with a few treasures in tow.
The Cleveland Flea - Ever approved. More info and dates for the Flea here!
